Music Legends Honor
Original Drifters Manager

Maxine Porter

Hall of Fame music legends and friends from across the nation honored
long-time Original Drifters manager Maxine Porter at a Swinging Sixties
birthday celebration held at Sun City Summerlin's Desert Vista Ballroom in
Las Vegas, Nevada.  Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters entertained.

The Who's Who of Artists came in tribute to Porter's professional
networking  activities and Artists' rights advocacy.  She is an active and
often press-quoted member of the
Vocal Group Hall of Fame's Truth in Music Committee.

Porter, who said she felt "blessed, thrilled, and honored", looks forward
to a cruise onboard Royal Caribbean International's
Mariner of the Seas for her  2007 celebration.

Bill Pinkney (Drifters), Maxine Porter, Pete Moore (Miracles), Mary Wilson
(Supremes), Carl Gardner (Coasters), and Sonny Turner (Platters) are
shown in the attached photo taken by Christella Moody.

The 4th Annual Sharon Car Cruise.

August 12th 2006

We would like to thank the community for all of your support
during The 4th Annual Sharon Car Cruise.

History was made with this being the first performance inside the theatre in 25 years.

The Lettermen performed to over 500 patrons inside The Columbia Theatre.
Free tours were given of the theatre to allow locals to see progress done on
the theatre and work that is still in needed to be done.

Crowds at The Columbia Theatre

Signing The Support Petition

It was a trip down memory lane for many of the locals as they told stories
about movies they had seen there, dates with loved ones, people who worked
inside the theatre turned up, even a firefighter that fought the historic blaze
were all enchanted by The Columbia Theatre.

Once again we cannot say it enough,
thank you to the community
for all of your continuing support!
